Same monitors different colours

So I have two exact same monitors but one is a lot darker than the other if I load up the same picture or tab etc. They are both running the same settings but one is running via HDMI and the other is  DVI-A on my GPU to VGA (Through a adapter). It is the VGA that is a lot darker. I only have one HDMI out on my GPU. My profile has all my specs. I run my xbox on my second monitor into the HDMI. Also I have a display port on my GPU.

HDMI has a higher colour contrast I think.

If you switch the connectors, do the colours switch? If so, it's the connection and you'll either have to use a DVI to HDMI or DP to HDMI adapter to get the same signal, or calibrate the monitors to match as best you can.

ALSO CHANGE THAT MONITOR From shitty DVI-A or VGA to DVI-D or DVI-I!!!

I also noticed that running a monitor off VGA makes the colour darker, I think it must just be a thing it does
