I would suggest cheaper ram although that's already pretty cheap. Generally corsair vengeance pro ram is excessively expensive. Also I would suggest the 970 over the 390. That's my personal opinion.

I'll believe Digital Foundry (it's all they do), and JayzTwoCents, over some guy on these forums.

"Graphics Drivers Not approved"

It's a new card, drivers are still coming out.

And actually, if you look at the specs under the hood, the 390 is just more powerful, and will last much longer in the PC world.

I think you went full retard there..vram does matter at all resolutions. 8gb is way better to have then 3.5gb. The 390 is a much better card than the 970.

Agreed, many large companies and popular youtubers have been saying 390 is much better than 970, and it is.

Also, not how on the test it says "Graphics drivers not approved"

Never stopped to consider that he could've been using faulty drivers?

Guys he's clearly ignorant, ignoring all the other results and picking the one and only result he can find that backs up his favor.

If it were the case, the 970 being better than the 390, you would think he would have a better source than a user post on forums... but that's his go to lol

The Radeon R9 390 in its Asus DirectCU 3 guise (+50MHz core) takes on a mildly overclocked GTX 970 (+25MHz core), the MSI R9 390X (+50MHz core) and the reference R9 290 (fans at 80% to stop throttling). At 1080p, the contest with the GTX 970 is pretty fierce. The 390 is faster in some games, slower in others, but it kicks out a lot more heat and uses a lot more power.

This is from digital foundry's comparison of the two. Basically a draw and even then more heat and power from the 390.... I mean what else do I have to show you that the 970 is better than the 390....
