I was looking on Ebay, and I saw that you can pick up an X5550 for about $13, so I thought it might be fun to do a build with 2 X5550's, for a secondary system. My budget is around $200.

I put this list together. I have some hard drives and a graphics card that I'll put in it.

Tell me if I'm crazy or stupid, and/or if I can improve the build for around the price point.

Eh, it doesn't actually seem that crazy. Heck, Xeon CPUs are pretty much made with multi-CPU configs in mind.

It isn't crazy. It's a great idea. One of the 32nm Xeons overclock if I'm not mistaken. Not sure which one though...

I'm almost certain that all 1366 Xeons overclock. I'm not sure that it's the best idea to overclock it with a dual cpu config tho..

thats a really good deal

its really funny that you can get 2 processors for a price lower than your power supply :D

The power supply is the second-most expensive part  :D

I might just use this as my main rig. It'll probably perform better

I'm thinking I also might mod a standard Mid Tower case to fit the motherboard.
