Looking for 2 monitors

Go to solution Solved by o0Martin,

He is not a gamer and does not work with colors. He types a lot and does not do content creation

Oh okay, well if he would benefit from having more content on the screen in what ever programs he uses when he's working/typing then he could get a 16:10 format display, meaning he'll gain a bit more height with the same width.

In which case the Dell U2415 would be a great choices, it has fully featured stand adjustments (Including height) and nice light anti glare coatings and an IPS Panel.

Although if he doesn't care too much about 16:10 or colour accuracy, then he could go for a 16:9 TN Panel 27" display, like the Asus VN279Q for a little bit less $.

I am looking for 2 one for me and one for my dad. I am looking for a 144hz monitor at least 23inches, and $300 or under. I like the Asus VG248QE but it does not have a glossy screen which I would prefer. For my dad he is looking for a 27inch 1080p or 1440p monitor that is either glossy or anti-glare but he would like to have height adjust. Thanks for the help

It's hard because all the 1080p 144Hz displays around/lower than $250 use a matte screen, the Asus, the BenQ XL2411T, the LG24GM77 ectect, so they may be your only options, the matte screen on them are a little heavier then what is idle to be honest, and it would be nicer if they had a lighter anti glare coating, but it isn't by any stretch a 'massive' deal, they are still great displays if you want the 144Hz refresh rate at 1080p. And they will help a lot against glare obviously. I would still consider getting them even with the matte screen.

As for your father, is he looking for anything more in-particular? Like what would his use cases be? Is he a gamer? Does he work with colours? Does he just want it for general use?

Also would be benefit from a higher resolution (For more productivity) or would he benefit from an IPS display for better colour accuracy/viewing angles? ectect.
