I saw lots of posts of pirated copies getting legit keys in W10 so I decided to try to see it with my own eyes.

Took an "old" pc with pirated W7 Ultimate and selected the upgrade to W10 Pro thing, it upgraded. So then I downloaded a keyviewer, wrote down the key in a paper, I took that HDD off and put a clean 80 GB HDD, booted into the W10 Pro 64 bit installer, installed it and forced to activate the key checking on the internet... it said it's activated, is this for real?

I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft is doing it deliberately. They seem to want everyone to be on one OS. It seems like something they would have fixed by now, or it wouldn't work in the first place if it was a big issue for them.

easiest way is download the W10 clean 3GB .ISO file directly from Microsoft, put on USB stick using Rufus then active using Microsoft tool kit or KMSpico lol.

Eh yeah but I wanted to see by the method most people said: upgrading their pirated OS.

The installation in a clean HDD was just for a double check.
