Hey, I'm looking to buy a BENQ BL3200PT monitor from someone at Australia's version of craigslist (from my understanding of what craigslist is, its basically the same) but there is a slight problem, the monitor has a dead pixel on the bottom right and I'm wondering if there is a way for me to fix this issue. I know the bottom right isn't going to be that much of a big problem, but it is gonna bug me since I am OCD.

So, back to the point, is there a solid way of fixing dead pixels?

any dead pixel fixing method other than software is risky and can cause more pixel corruption/ press method for example  i wouldnt suggest fixing it other than trying pixel fixing software ( though a dead pixel is a white one )  and black one/red/blue/yellow pixel could be fixed through software... white is usually just game over

The only real fix for dead pixels is the warranty card. You return it when you have a more than 5 dead pixels. All warranties cover that as the minimum.

To get rid of a monitor with fewer dead pixels you need to use the return policy. In EU, its the first 6 months for displays - you can return them in that time and get your money back, without a reason.

If a monitor is gonna have dead pixels they`ll show themselves pretty early, with use. To make sure you get all the dead pixels you`re gonna get you need to use the monitor each day the first few months, to maximize this.

Or sell it cheaper on craigslist if you miss that window and try again.

This is the only REAL fix i know for dead pixel fixing.

Dead pixels aren't really 'fixable' I'm afraid to say, if they are stuck pixels then you can normally get lucky and fix them pretty easy by flashing them (running a video designed to fill your monitor with fast changing bright colours) but dead pixels wont be fixed that way, sorry :c
