So I've spent the last couple weeks modding Skyrim using the nexus mod manager. I also use TESEdit and LOOT for load order and dirty plugins, but I still have problems. while playing at seemingly random points the game will just stop on a frame but the audio will still play ... and I'm also experiencing the "infinite loading screens" crap! The only way to fix it is to restart my computer!

Does anyone know how to fix this ... or will I have to just deal with it?

Thank you :)

`with infinite loading screens try deleting all of your saves except your primary, also for frame skips it would help if i knew your CPU. I too have a HECK TON of mods (258) and i use loot and tes5edit i have a g3258 and after a while i got from your position to mine of smooth gameplay, try by lowering the graphics and disabling any enbs or lighting effects and then see your performance and reanable them from there until it is stable an smooth.

EDIT: i see you have a 4460 so do what i said any slowly turn up the graphics, i have a 750ti so it should not be a problem after that

Experienced the same issues my last install, except I actually didn't have any ENB on it and I had it on an SSD and still had infinite loading screens from time to time and crash on loading save games.

Only thing I notice helps is starting a new character and new save, it seems like too many mods add too many scripts and objects to the save, so much so that the engine just cannot handle them correctly. I might reinstall but at this point I am actually exploring other games like Betrayer and soon Savage Lands.

Ha! Here is my components list, I built this once Intel leaked that Skylake tops out at 4 cores:

I7-4790K@4.4GHz-H100i-MSI Z97 G5-Ripjaws X 16GB DDR3 1866- Corsair AX760 PSU-Samsung 840 EVO 250GB-

EVGA GTX 970 SC-Q270 Catleap-Logitech G15 & G700-WIN 10-Corsair 760T

However, this is from the bottom of the part picker page you linked. Intel pulls chips like the 2500K and the 4770/4790K's to give the next one a chance. With the incremental upgrades, the old chips have to disappear to make room for the next gen, prices are inflated before chips are pulled from the market.  Make sure you pull a trigger soon because more shops will adopt the exit prices as time goes by:

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?
