Hey there everyone!

I was planning on replacing the.. Not so great Phanteks windows with some polycarbonate windows, using Velcro etc.

Just to be clear, the polycarbonate won't scratch as easily as the current windows, right? Because if I go through all the work of putting in the window and it scratches just as bad, I'm going to be disappointed.

Polycarbonate is more durable than those windows, right? xP

In terms of scratch resistance acrylic and poly-carbonate are pretty similar, I'd recommend glass if you really want nice windows but if your afraid of dropping it or move things around a lot the plastic materials would be better.

For installing the window however I'd recommend to use silicone or double stick tape over velcro since it will give a big gap between the panel and the window material. Silicone would best best since it gives no gap at all even compared to double sided tape.

Wow, thank you! I'd like to do glass but I'd need to cut it my self, unless I just got it precut and not have to worry about it. I really don't move it around that much so I don't see a problem.

Ive got a side panel custom made out of acrylic and it will still scratch.  not as noticeably or as easily but it will still scratch if you wipe it with a "hard" rag or something like that.  I find that as long as I'm careful with it, its fine but it's gotten a few scratches

If you want glass cut, most window shops can custom cut any size you ask for and isn usually around the region of $15 for regular window glass.
