If you want something that stands out look into Be quiet!.  I personally think their external design is really nice, edgy yet sophisticated haha. Seriously though, there is supposed to be a mid tower (silent base 600) releasing this september in usa  for $100. I'm thinking about using it for my first build.

As mentioned above Tt Core x9 but if that's too big the x1 and x2 are smaller versions of it. Also Air 540 but there is also the Bitfenix Atlas ( the one that looks like the companion cube ).

What form factor are you looking for and budget?
