You have to format the drive first if the drive is brand new.

Im pretty sure you can just go on Windows disk management and right click the new drive to format. It takes about an hour

I do not see it under disk management but see it in the BIOS

Can you try right clicking your main OS drive, then "Manage" (should have a shield next to it) and then look for "Disk Management" to the left under "Storage". Does the drive appear?

Did you try what I suggested? Sometimes going that route will make a drive appear when typing "disk management" doesn't work.

 

If you have, please try putting the drive in another sata port and see if it comes up both in BIOS and the computer. If this doesn't work, do you think you can install Ubuntu on a disk (or USB) and open up into the Live Environment? If it doesn't appear in Gparted, then there is definitely a problem and we can try to move forward.
