Help need for Networking issues

Go to solution Solved by tom564,

Looking at that diagram it appears that your problem is NAT - By connecting the secondary router by the WAN point you effectively segment the network.  What you need to do is disable DHCP on the secondary router and either set the WAN point as a switched port or use a normal LAN port to connect the 2 routers, you also need to disable routing functions on the secondary  router and put it in acess point mode or something http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-basics/30338-how-to-convert-a-wireless-router-into-an-access-point

Hey Guys,

I am currently have a small problem, I want to have a network where i can simply and easily share files (mainly HD videos) through gigabit LAN and WIFI. At the moment i am having a problem with accessing half the computers on my network. I am not educated in networking and i don't know exactly what the problem is but from what ive seen i reckon i know what the problem is - i just don't have to knowledge nor means to fix it...

Here is a diagram of a section of my house with all LAN and WIFI connections;dzf8kw.jpg

At the moment - On PC1 i can ping PC2 and get a response and Vice Versa, But i cant Ping PC3 and 4 with a response. On PCs 3 and 4 i can Ping PCs 1 and 2 and receive a response. Weird Right? It gets better...

The computers connected to the Billion modem/router can see each other as well as the Laptop connected via WIFI but not anything Connected to the TP Link. The Computers connected to the Tp Link can see each other but not anything connected to the billion, you'd think they would if you could ping them and receive a response but you cant.Weird Right? Wait for it...

Everything and anything that is connected vie LAN or WIFI can connect to the internet with not problems at all what so ever.

I noticed that the Devices connected to the billion get IPs in the range of 192.168.1.xxx, but the ones on the TP Link get 192.168.0.xxx - is this the problem? if so, How do i fix it?

Thanks In Advanced

Thanks you SOOOOOO much, I fixed it by:

-changing the cable from WAN to LAN

-Disabling DHCP

-Changing the IP address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1

And all is awsome,

Thanks again
