Desktop vs mobile processors

Go to solution Solved by 2FA,

The 4790k is stronger even when at the same clock speed. I just ran Cinebench earlier which is a CPU benchmark that pretty much renders an image, anyways my i5-4670k beat the 4720HQ.

TL;DR Mobile CPUs are very weak in general.

Hi i currently have a laptop with a i7-4700MQ 2.4Ghz quad core processor with hyperthreading, and im thinking about building a desktop with a i7 4790k. Could someone please tell me the difference between these two processors besides the clock speeds, it would be a big help.
