Step 1. If you've been saying out loud while in bed:

 

Hmm. The Micro ATX mobo is cheaper, and it'll fit into the ATX case. wait hmm. ATX case might be a bit empty, but that might be my only choice because I don't know of many micro ATX cases. eh, it'll save me some money in the long run maybe, probably will find some way to cover it up etc etc etc

I was up for 3 hours think out loud about what drives I should go with for my nas and how many tb and what capacities and why I need them

Omg, I do this all the time. I just think out load on what to buy, how to config things, fixing bugs in code, comparing things, etc.. (Obviously when im alone so I don't look crazy)
