Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum and I have been watching LinusTechTips on YouTube for a couple weeks now.

I'm looking at a fairly high end gaming pc which I hope to start building in a couple months, (as soon as I get the cash)

So my question is, Will this set up work? I've read up on each part and I think it should work together but the last pc i built was when the i3, i5 and i7 was first released. Since then i've bought gaming laptops.

This is the complete build I am looking (fans, cpu fans and all that jazz included)

At this stage I'm not looking at overclocking, but I'll look at overclocking after I buy a water cooling system. If any of the parts listed had a bad reputation or there is a better option at roughly the same price could you please let me know.

It will work, but it's not a good build for mainly gaming. The CPU is overkill (well, the whole X99 platform is not needed for gaming)

overkill is good, if you have the money for it then he/she might as well

Overkill is pointless. If they have the money, they may as well spend it on something useful, like a nice monitor or storage setup.

EVGA have multiple 850W Gold PSUs. Some are good, some are not. You'd need to be specific, as the NEX series aren't great, but the GS and G2 are very good.
