I recently overclocked my 60 hz monitor to 70hz. It is a 1920 x 1080p display. I currently use hdmi converted to display port to connect it to my PC. I am wondering if I can actually see the 70hz or if the hdmi is holding it back. I am also a bit confused about how many hz each type of cable gives up to such ad hdmi, display port, dvi, etc... Could someone help explain that to me? Thanks!

If Windows says 70Hz, it's 70Hz. HDMI can go up to 120Hz at 1080p.

My games look better after overclocking my monitor to 75hz. I'm running a 1080p monitor which is usually at 60hz over hdmi
