Need help choosing parts!

So I am planning on building a pc in the summer of 2016. Would any of you recommend better parts. These are the parts that I currently have: (Note: I will mainly be playing racing games, indie games, and maybe one or two first-person shooters)

 

CPU: AMD FX-6300 Black Edition

GPU: EVGA GTX 960 2gb ssc edition

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P

RAM: Hyperx Fury 8gb kit (4gb x2)

PSU: EVGA 500W

Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-01

HDD: WD Blue 1TB

Optical Drive: Asus 24x

 

(All the computer parts will be bought from Amazon.com)

since from what you've said you'll be mostly gaming i would look into Intel CPU's instead (faster single-threaded performance, which games rather enjoy)

Something like an i3 4160/4170, or even an i5 4460 (depends on pricing), paired with an H97 board
