I had to install all updates for 8.1 even the optional ones before I was able to install windows 10. Try reinstalling those updates, restart your pc afters it's finsihed then immediately try to install windows 10. What temperature were your pc even getting to?

Yeah, I used that but to even run the damn thing I had to install the updates. It was fucking stupid. Maybe my computer just hates me because I put it underload non stop.

My pc didn't need any updates for that reason

Confirmed, PC hates me and wants my head on a platter. Good thing I never sleep.

The definitely try that tool if you haven't. It how I had to install Windows 10 on both of my systems. Mostly because I was impatient and didn't want to wait until it told me it was ready.
