well ever since i built this pc my ssd has been pretty slow (170MB/s Read and 130MB/S Write) but now its extremely slow, when tranferring files between my ssd and my hdd (which by the way is a 7200rpm WD Caviar SE, 8 years old) my ssd bottlenecks my harddrive!! i have tried almost everything, optimizing drive through windows 8 and made sure its on AHCI, the ssd is just too slow!

 

Specs=

CPU=I5 4690k @4.2ghz

GPU=Asus Strix GTX960

SSD= SanDisk SDSSDP128G

HDD= WD Caviar SE ~8 years old

PSU=Antec Earthwatts 380w PSU

Sounds like he doesn't have it plugged in where its supposed to.

what do you mean? one sata cable is plugged into the motherboard (6GBps) and the other end into the ssd, a sata power cable is plugged into the powersupply and the other end into the ssd,

@Michaelflat1 Then, it shouldn't be dying... Or have you written around 300TB on it? Anyway, contact the manufacturer. If it's defective, they will replace it.

 

 

I have written about 80gbs to it then deleted and all that, trimmed it up and the wear level is 0%, all in all since i now have windows 10 (yay) its not as slow, but not even close to the benchmarks! it came from ebay so im going to have to contact the seller (it was new and in original packaging)

Its still agonisingly slow, bottlenecks my old hard drive still
