  1. Use a program-cant remember the name-to make the fan change speed according to your CPU Diode temperature, you put in the temp to start ramping up the fans(say 55C) and the MAX Fan speed where it reaches that temp and runs the fan at full, worked brilliantly on my MBA Late 2010
  2. Looks like a widescreen 16:9~16:10 tape measure says that the panel is 1.56 aspect ratio which is near enough to 16:9 (88% fill)
  3. How do i know what resoloution my TV is then, i have tried looking up the model number to no avail but the point is that the HZ is crazy high causing it to throw an error, so i want to reflash the EDID to change that
  4. only if it is a virus or not compatible and if that non compatible program does low end stuff (like flashing BIOS)
  5. Well, my compact cheapo TV has got a VGA input, its a 15 inch and the native resoloution is 1280x800 but for some reason it now says that the native is 1024x768 @94hz, this causes it to say INVALID FORMAT, i need to reflash the EDID, but i dont know how, ive had this TV for a while and its annoying because i use it as a troubleshooting monitor, and with a messed up EDID it just defaults to 1024x768@94hz Does anyone know how to reflash an EDID?
  6. 1) Get rid of the awful CPU cooler 2) Front In back out, Top in too
  7. you need to calibrate it, set a powerplan to stop it from sleeping and let it run till it shuts off abruptly, charge and boot up and let it go to 100% and then you should of calibrated your battery
  8. wow, fast replies, anyway, ive got a 4690k at 4.4ghz @1.25V and the temperature is very jumpy, if i use prime 95, (no AVX) small fft i get around 78c but the problem is that fan xper3 jumps all my fans to max when it goes over 75C and since i have 4 jetflos they are so loud. I read somewhere that there is coolant in the heatpipes and someones leaked out, when i was reseating it i noticed some brown oily stuff on my fingers, so that might be the problem, my heatsink isnt actually getting that warm, which leads me to believe its either the hyper212 evo thats to blame or the cpu, i have reseated it loads of times putting thermal paste on each time, trying different methods, such as the x line or the horizontal line, the dot in the middle and the creditcard method, my idle temps are around 35C and load is pushing onto 78C but realtemp and hwinfo says my core temps are getting to ~83C, should buy another one or get a different cooler?, i dont know if i can give it back since I got it off of ebay! ***EDIT*** I just realised, do you need to use alcohol to remove thermal paste, because i havent been, should i buy the kit off maplin?
  9. I have always had this cooler perform badly, and since my overclock its got a whole lot worse, 4.4@1.25V and the temps are peaking around 78C
  10. go into network and sharing centre, change adapter settings and see if it shows up, if not then you need to get drivers for it
  11. in fan xpert 3 try messing around with the critical temperature settings, raise it a bit or whatever
  12. I have written about 80gbs to it then deleted and all that, trimmed it up and the wear level is 0%, all in all since i now have windows 10 (yay) its not as slow, but not even close to the benchmarks! it came from ebay so im going to have to contact the seller (it was new and in original packaging) *EDIT* Its still agonisingly slow, bottlenecks my old hard drive still
