Which one?

Go to solution Solved by OAcesync,

Like I said I'm getting a Xeon so overclocking is not even going to be considered. I do like the Nvidia drivers and extra stuff you get but the Fury X is a nice card.

If you're not overclocking I would probably get a Fury X or EVGA 980Ti Hybrid(if you can afford) but just know that AMD catalyst drivers are generally solid but the Fury X drivers aren't particularly good but Nvidia drivers are a mixed bag on Windows 10.

Zotac Reference:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500376&cm_re=gtx_980_ti-_-14-500-376-_-Product

ASUS Reference:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121958&cm_re=gtx_980_ti-_-14-121-958-_-Product

EVGA ACX 2.0:

So my case as you might know is an SG05. I can modify it to fit cards up to 10.5" in length. This means I can fit a 980 Ti, just not the MSI, Zotac AMP!, ASUS Strix, etc. The problem is that a blower cooler would not interfere with the other components because any heat it generates goes straight out the back, but the ACX cools much better (I also happen to LOVE EVGA) and looks nicer, plus it is quieter. Which one should I go for? I also plan on using a Seidon 120V or Corsair H60 to cool the future Xeon I am putting in there, so the Fury X isn't an option (wasn't much of an option anyway) unless you can also recommend me a good low profile cooler. Thanks!

Edit: If I do go for the Fury X is this one okay?

I am playing at 1080p 144Hz and I want to max out games at 100+FPS.

I would go with a blower reference one since you have a small case. But I would get the ASUS one since it has 3yrs warranty rather than 2yrs from Zotac

                                                                                                                 Setup

CPU: i3 4160|Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE|RAM: Kingston HyperX Blue 8GB(2x4GB)|GPU: Sapphire Nitro R9 380 4GB|PSU: Seasonic M12II EVO 620W Modular|Storage: 1TB WD Blue|Case: NZXT S340 Black|PCIe devices: TP-Link WDN4800| Montior: ASUS VE247H| Others: PS3/PS4

What about the Fury X? It's liquid cooled so I would have to get a Noctua NH-L9i or something. Plus in Linus' recent video they said it performed better because it stayed cooler in a smaller case.

Keep in mind this is at 1080p on an ASUS VG248QE.

The 980Ti is a better card in terms of drivers and consistent performance imo but in your case the Fury X can be a good option if you're worried about temps in a small build but if you plan to get a CPU which you can overclock and want to overclock then I would stick with the 980Ti

The Fury X would perform better at the cost of different drivers and CPU temps, however since I'm not OCing and I added a nice cooler it should be fine. I also modified the chassis to fit an ATX PSU, but the length of the 750W P2 won't interfere with the radiator of the Fury X. Which one?

Edit: Since it's at 1080p the 4GB of VRAM won't make a difference compared to the 6GB on the 980 Ti, with the exception of maybe GTA V.

They're getting better, but they still are pretty crappy right now. I plan on doing this upgrade in a month or so once I have the money saved up.
