I just bought a new SSD to replace my old 40GB drive. Im just wondering what software i can use to copy the entire drive to the new one. I need every file to be copied over if possible. I tryed a fresh install but i come up with issues in my games, links not working and save data not being there with this.

Hey there Drackeo,

Usually each manufacturer has a recommended/free software on their website that can clone your old drive onto the new one. do have in mind that the cloning procedure involves some risks when moving a OS from a HDD to a SSD (one being the SSD might still be recognized as a HDD, working slower, missing out functions like TRIM and being susceptible to defragging). I would recommend doing a fresh install both for your OS and the games and turn to some people with experience on how to get your saved games to work again in order to avoid all of this.

In that case you should be fine :) just check out the recommended software by the manufacturer or one of the programs that the guys recommended and you should be good to go.

I'd contact their support and ask. If you don't want to do that, you may use one of the tools that the guys here on the forum recommend. :)
