Hello everyone.

 

I am currently running this setup:

MBO: Asrock FM2A75M-DGS

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 740

GPU: Gigabyte R7 250 1GB OC

RAM: 8GB Kingmax 1333Mhz

PSU: Corsair CX500M

HDD1: Transcend 128GB SSD

HDD2: Seagate 1TB

Case: Thermaltake V4 Black Edition

1080p display

 

and I want to update the build using this components:

 

MBO: Asrock Z97 Anniversary

CPU: i5 4460

GPU: Gigabyte R9 280X

PSU: Seasonic M12II-520"

CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 103

 

Considering the fact that i have to change MBO i am open to AMD builds (i am not a fanboy, i just want maximum for the money). What are your thoughts on the components and what should be changed?

 

edit: cost of this is around 700$

Looks good to me. btw dont buy an amd cpu... like... ever

Here is a recommended build, but the cpu cooler is not necessary

You could save 20 without the cooler. Also added a 380, better than the 280

at the same price point

280/285 should work fine on a Athlon X4. :)

 

But the 280X is pushing it so its probably a good idea to upgrade the CPU...
