Which 780 To Get?

I'm doing something over at OCN and I need input as to which 780 to get. The only thing I need is for it to be as quiet as possible. I would prefer a non reference design.

I think Asus is not bad, but go evga I like how it looks LOL

Whait for 780 lightning!

The problem that MSI have created is that the build has to be purely black and yellow, otherwise it will look like a mess. Maybe this is a marketing strategy as MSI have motherboards of similar colour but as of the product, I have high expectations. 

 

As said before, I would go with either the ASUS or EVGA version as both have had great reviews (as well as a smexy backplate)

 

But all in all, go with the one that will suit your colour scheme.

The Asus DirectCU and the MSI TwinFrozr are the top performing non-reference coolers out there. I'd skip the EVGA card simply because it runs a little hotter than these two. Since you mentioned that you wanted to have a quiet one, I'd go with the MSI version because it has the largest fans. I have a friend that bought one and he can't even hear it. It's also red and black, not yellow and black like the Lightning will be, just in case that matters to you. :)

Personally I like the reference 780 better than the aftermarket coolers. But just get whatever you think looks best in you build.

I agree, the reference 780 just looks so sexy.

I got a gigabyte wind force gtx780 yesterday.

It's probably not the most silent but at a good overclock (still trying to find the optimal settings) it still doesn't get hotter then 75C.

EVGA GTX 780 Classified....why? I'm just a sucker for EVGA :)...they have one of the best pcb's for overclocking...

What I've heard about Asus is, that they've got terrible customer service, I was told this by one of our dealer. He encountered things like, when he RMAd his GPU, they just took the old serial number off and put there new one. "Repair" was complete and the GPU came in the same state as it was before.

Yeah I've been hearing (well more like reading) an awful lot about how the 780 Classified is the best. Any reason as to why? Is it just the core clock?
