So I'm planning to go buy it within the hour.

Just to be sure and that i'm not overspending or that there could be better parts. Can you guys look it over and let me know ?

The only thing I'm really unsure about is the Asus H97 Board & Bitfenix Prodigy Case. Haven't ever built inside a Micro atx case before so any tips ? or anything else that I could change ?

one small addition I'd make would be to add a cpu cooler. the cpu will run cooler and the system will be more silent

this one is a pretty good one

I won't be water cooling it, simply stock fan or use 212 Evo like @ciprian97pop recommended. Though that's good to hear that it's a good case, was worried especially since i'll be ordering it online... Hopefully they'll be no damages to it like my other build that I've done  :(

Mabye a 4690k if you're willing to overclock you get better performance at a similar price

I have considered getting a 4690K though, because this computer is for my family, I do not believe they will overclock at all

Looks pretty good for me.

Thanks!

Yeah I have considered though since it's a 4460, I don't think it's completely necessary, do you agree?

i don't think you'll NEED a cpu cooler, but it would be nice. just see how it goes. you can always add one later.

why not get the 390 instead? it performs better than the 970. i think the motherboard is a little expensive, but other than that, i think you're good to go.

I have considered the 390, though from my understanding, the performance of it vs 970, is identical, is it not? If that's the case, wouldn't the 970 be more ideal since the power consumption of the 390 is drastically higher than the 970? Unless I'm wrong, than please explain if you can :D

the 390 beats the 970 in the benchmarks that i've seen. that being said, it does require more power and will be more expensive in terms of buying a sufficient psu. they do perform close enough to where i would just say get the 970 if you really want to save some money. the difference isn't that big, but it's still there.

I agree, that the 390 does perform better and more than likely will beat the 970 once all the drivers have been updated for the current/upcoming games. Though since the games that the computer will be using is F2P games, the amount of power needed to play on high setting isn't as high compared to games like Witcher 3 and etc

But it is something to consider if the cost isn't too drastically high

well it's not like you can't live without it. the stock cooler will do just fine but as i said, with the aftermarket cooler the pc will be more silent and the cpu will be a few degrees cooler

Don't get me wrong, I understand what you are stating though because I've only built inside ATX cases, I feel like if I keep cramming more materials in the case, it will become a gong show for me to deal with xD

However guys, let's just speak theoretical for a moment. If I was to increase my budget just slightly. Would it be worth it? To go from what I have right now, which is:

Yes it would be worth it, but there is no need to pair the 390 with an unlocked cpu,

simply let the 4460 and the h97 mobo untouched if u cant throw more money on the system

Yeah I'll make the decision when I go and buy the parts.

Just one last question than, is there any difference between the MSI and Asus 390 ?

I personally prefer msi because i find it more beautiful + glowing dragon ( l o l  )+ dragonish backplate

Also it offers better cooling

Yeah I agree with that, all the GPU's that i've bought so far was either MSI or Galax HOF, both are extremely nice and fits well in the builds

Any chance you'd know a company that does cable sleeves for the EVGA GS 650W PSU ?
