I'm wondering about getting the two cards above but can't decide D: which is better in terms of price/fps, is the 7870 worth the extra 100$ or is it going to be some 10fps better

I'm also running games like bf3, gta iv, metro 2033, nfs the run ect

I'm also not using dual monitors and I am running @ 1280 x 1024

7770 for that res is okay, not more, not less... If your budget can stretch a bit go for he 7850 or 7850.. Especially if you want to upgrade to a 1080p monitor (or higher) in the future :)!

It's OK. I have a 7770 myself. I play BF3 at 1600x1200 with 45-65 FPS with High Settings. But In any case, the 7850 and 7870 are much better, so I recommend them if you can stretch your budget. :)

If you buy a 7870, make sure it is an Tahiti chip. not the pitcairn ;) they are the same price, but the tahiti is waaay better.
