Hi guys..

So, just doing a fresh install of windows 8.1..

Have a 3770k on MSI z77 m-power.

Made a bootable USB from Microsoft's install app thing.

Booted it, deleted old partitions from the ssd (840 pro), retreated a single partition and formatted it.

When I hit next, the installed tells me I have not got a partition and cannot continue..

Tried again with smaller partition and second drive. Same problem.

Any ideas or help?

BTW, am on my phone now.. Hate trying to do anything productive from it.. But when needs must.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Actual error message is:

We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the setup log files.

Obviously I can't check them as I've already blown away the old OS.

I've tried different drives (including a HDD) on different connection and still no joy. I've also deleted the partition again and tried, re-partitioned in different sizes with and without formatting and still no joy...

Also tried the USB drive in different USB slots (3.0 and 2.0) all without luck.
