Windows 10 Sound problem

Hi there.

 

I just recently upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and I now have no sound on my computer. Previously I used to get my sound from my TV via HDMI. I also tried to see if I get sound through earphones and I do.

I trouble shooted to see what problems there was and it says no peripheral or device connected. I have assumed that the problem is that I now need to use speakers to get sound on my PC am I correct in assuming this.

Sound over HDMI is handled by your graphics driver. Make sure that is updated to the latest Windows 10 version.
