You need 288-pin DDR4 RAM (Non-ECC). The speeds will all be compatible as long as it is DDR4 Non-ECC RAM.

 

ECC RAM is for server and workstation grade machines. It has an extra bit to help correct any accidental RAM errors during operation. This helps servers have a high uptime.

Only go with X99 if you need to render or have a use for the extra cores. Otherwise your best bet would be an i5-4690k.
