I wanted to do a clean install of windows 10 on my laptop so I made the install disk and installed it as normal.  When it asked for my COA I entered the Windows 7 HP I had on my laptop before hand.  Thinking that since I reserved my copy of it that the COA would work.  It did not.  So I reinstalled windows 7 to make sure I reserved it and now even though I installed all the updates and drivers the windows 10 app icon won't show up.  I can go the the system32 folder and see that it is installed, when I try to manually luanch it nothing happens

I had this issue and I was missing the system update that was required for Win 10 thingy.

Just google and you will find it if that is your issue.

you have to upgrade to windows 10 to claim your copy I recommend you to upgrade via windows 7 than run a reset by recovery
