So it seems when activating 3D on my TV the resolution is slightly reduced. Is there any way to increase the side by side resolution so each picture is at the native resolution?

Edit: The TV is an active 3DTV

its because "passive" 3d displays use half of the resolution to display the second  "slightly off" part of the display that makes the 3d so effectively you are getting half the resolution, the only way to "fix" it is use a solution with active 3D like nvidia 3d vision.
