So I just ordered an fx 6300 and I do plan on getting a hyper 212 cooler very soon, But my question is, in the mean time can I bump the baseclock and turbo to be the same as a 6350 on the stock cooler? Does the 6350 come with the same cooler as a 6300 or does it get a better stock cooler?

Erg What are you doing on this PC? I'd get a BeQuiet! Pure Rock but I kinda feel bad that you got a fx 6300 if you are doing it for a gsming build.

A lot of AMD CPUs are just overclocked versions of previous ones Kindda like the fx9590 is basically an overclocked fx8320

It all depends on the specific board you get, as well as the chip, power supply, and cooler. On my old FX 6300 rig I was able to easily OC to 4.2GHz using a Seidon 120V, however I couldn't go further because the 4+1 VRM on my board wasn't very happy. I would shoot for 4.0GHz, just so you're in the 4GHz klub.

It is for a budget gaming rig, I got the 6300 as an upgrade from my 4300 so I could play Fallout 4 when It releases. I have it paired with a g1 gaming gtx 960. I know the 6350 is just a 6300 with a higher clock speed, I was just wondering if anyone knew if they use the same stock cooler
