Recommendations for laptop?

So i'm going to university this fall i'm deciding to get a laptop

need something under $500 dollars Canadian

all i probably am going to do on it is use word and google docs

Wants:

-battery enough for a school day

-not to heavy and able fit easily in a bag

-touch screen is nice

-decent build quality

-is not burning hot

also anyone know how the 5 year support thing on Chromebooks work

I use a Surface Pro 2 (used) and I love it so far. Buying a used last gen helped a TON with price so I'd do that. Also, you can pick up cheap type covers on amazon so don't bother with official ones, way overpriced. Also, don't forget to follow your thread
