So I recently moved into a new house and I found that most outlets in my house are two prong only. There are some three prong outlets, but they're in the kitchen. I went out and bought a three prong to two prong adapter for the outlet and I need to confirm this. Is it safe for me to connect my computer to the adapter which connects to the outlet? Is it bad for my computer? Thanks for any responses.

You should have grounded connections and not just use an adapter, it's not safe to run it without a ground pin. I would suggest you to get an electrician to add in a new 3 prong properly grounded outlet or do it yourself but only and strictly only if you know what your doing.

Thanks for the welcome! I don't have the money for that right now, but will it reduce performance on my computer if I ever did plug it in using an adapter.

It's not a performance issue it's a safety issue mainly if it builds up a charge and you touch the metal case you can get shocked. The best thing as of right now is to run a proper sized extension cord to a properly grounded outlet until you get it fixed.
