Hello everyone,

As everyone knows every had got a notification in their hotbar asking them if they wanted to reserve a copy of windows 10 which I did but now after watch netlinked today I was quite scared that all my photos, documents and other private info may be deleted due to new OS. So I want to cancel my reservation and then back the data up however whenever I try to open the windows 10 icon in my hotbar it just tells me to wait and I keep on waiting. It does not load at all! I am really stressing out as in a couple of days its going to be the 29th meaning new OS and updates. So please help me ASAP thank you,

You should not lose all your stuff with the upgrade. Yes, you can clean install (highly recommended), but you don't have to.

This may be a stupid question but for the backup can I save it to my current laptop or would it be better to get a external hdd and do it that way?

Laptop will do perfectly fine, and remember that you won't be forced to upgrade once you reserved it. You can upgrade whenever you want.
