im building a new pc anyway and my friend needs a gaming pc but he plays on a shitty mac lol but anyway here is my specs:

 

Case: Zalman z11 plus

Cpu: i5 3570k @ 3.4ghz

Mobo: asus p8h61-mx

Ram: 8GB

storage: 2TB 7200rpm

GPU: Palit GTX 760 2gb

PSU: 450w 

 

His mac is a iMac model from 2011, his specs are:

 

i5 2.5GHz

500GB HDD

and thats all i know lol but what would sell better for more?

Can you have him send you the "About this mac" page with the serial number blacked out? That will tell me which model it is and how much it can sell for. 

Saying it has an i5 and 500GB HDD doesn't tell me enough.

if it's a mid-2011 with the i5, it probably has a 6770m/6750m in it. decent, maybe has a higher resale value that your rig, but for gaming, not even close.

but some of the parts in my pc like the hdd, cpu and gpu could get around the same amount put together. my cpu in used condition is worth around £120 so like $150ish then the gpu probably £80 so $110 and hdd is 2TB so maybe £55 or $85 / 90

If you're selling it for as a complete system, you will probably get around $550-585 if you sell it with a fresh reinstall of Windows 8.1. Piece by piece you might get a little more, but you would have to make sure that the 8.1 license was wiped from the computer.

And 2TB drives sell for that much new, so I can guarantee that someone isn't going to pay that for a used one.
