Which one should i get, notebook or pc for around $2000

And what's the pros and cons?

I would recommend PC unless you need it when you travel around. The upgradability of desktop is worth it, also you get more performance per dollar in a desktop.

if you have 2000 you can get an Asus G751 and if you get the 980m version there will be little difference to a gtx970 desktop. But its all what you want to do with the system.

If you dont plan on taking your laptop with you at any time then it is better to get a desktop for upgrade ability. but if you go to school or lan events or on trip allot then the gaming laptop might be a better option.

Upgradeable

Better Price/Performance

Better Cooling

Quiet

 

Desktop Cons:

No battery

Larger and heavier than a laptop

Need wireless card to use wifi

Need monitor

 

 

Laptop Pros:

Portable

Wireless

Can run without power outlet (Battery)

Monitor is built in

 

Laptop Cons:

Lower price/preformance

Louder while under load

Tends to get hot while under load

Battery life while gaming is minimal

Not as upgradeable
