My First Build

This is less of a build I made and more of a question to all of you.

It is my first time building a PC, it seemed interesting and I needed an upgrade from bought PC's for gaming (Thanks LinusTechTips)

Edit: Changed a few parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/y8G2D3

The link above is a build I have constructed and I am wondering what I should add/change and if this is powerful enough to run BF4 or COD Bo2 in 60 or more fps

Thanks, I will post the finished build when I can

Edit: Budget of $1000

The 7970 is a great card but when DX12 comes out you're going to have a bad time with using it, try a 370 or 380

Change the PSU for sure.

Maybe spend less on the motherboard and go for an i3/i5?

Might be a good idea to look at a different GPU

Yeah, but in general intels are better overall CPUs, that way if he ever needs to do anything else he can

Throw an SSD in there, try a Samsung 850 EVO 120gb or higher capacity if you have the budget. Also, your CPU supports only 1600mhz RAM, not much point going for 1866. Save yourself two bucks and get 1600mhz. Everything else looks fine

If you put windows on the ssd, your pc boots up super fast. applications will load up super fast (if installed on the sdd) And games will load faster :)
