I recently got a cherry mx key sampler I love the feel of blue but dislike the sound
I figured brown would be the next step but it's tactile feedback bump  as you push down is higher then the blue and I dislike the feel of it...
Yet on paper I thought they had the same.. Have I just got a faulty key?

Nope, you're feeling the placebo effect of noise from blues I believe.

So are browns the key that is most like blues without the click?

Pretty much. Did your tester come with Clears?

Yeah it does have clears but they seem a bit more weighty then I would like

Well blues or browns are your options then. You can try o-rings on MX Browns to make them feel "heavier."
