Insane copying speed!

Hi guys! 

 

This post does not contain a problem! Happy days! 

 

I was copying a 2.04 GB file from a HP 16 GB Pen Drive to my HDD. The moment I started copying, the dialogue box popped up showing the progress bar of the copy. It took a second to start and when it did, it reached 1/2 GB/s speed for a second and went down to 35 MB/s for the rest of the copying process. I was wondering how did that happen? Anyone has an answer? 

 

My theory is that the file was already in the RAM, but that does not explain how did the HDD take in data that fast.

My theory is that windows lagged a little bit and fucked up its calculations lol

It's already copying while it calculates the speed and the speed catches up like that. Windows is just wonky sometimes.
