I unlocked 4th core on my Phenom II X4 B50 in BIOS. But when I open task manager it only shows 3 cores. Do I have to do something else or?

You're trying to unlock an Athlon x3, right? Explain what did you change in BIOS (put MB model too)

No man I have Phenom x4 but my 4th core wasn't working because I didn't need it. I have Asus M4A88T-M MB. I just set core 4 from off to on and saved. But it still doesn't show 4th on task manager so obviously it's not working.

Why is that important?

It reset to BIOS default values, that way you can reset issues like incorrect settings

OK thanks I'll see.

If the core unlocker cannot enable the core it won't work. You can verify with CPU-Z.

Often the board will say how many cores are active in POST if the core unlock function is active.

It says 3 cores activated when I turn it on but in BIOS all four are...
