I have an old HP G62, with integrated intel graphics and also an onboard amd HD 5470.I have noticed that using the "high performance gpu" even only to play 1080p videos, the screen starts getting pixellated with different colors in a chessboard pattern. i think it's fucked up and i notice that using the intel gpu it doesn't have the same problem.

Every time the computer starts now it gives me a blackscreen and then a bluescreen ( as it uses the amd gpu in default). I always have to go on emergency mode in windows to uninstall the driver and "unactivate the card" so that when the pc starts i have the time to go on device manager and unactivate the broken peripherical.

I want to know the way to block my computer from autoatically detecting the videocard and installing the driver.

pls halp

no such settings bro, i have looked for them but it's just something really basic...

Okay, try this.

search for gpedit.msc, expand computer configuration -> admin templates -> system -> device installation -> device installation restrictions -> prevent installation of device matching any of these id's -> enter your gpu hardware id (found in device manager under your gpu).

i looked for gpedit in the searc box and it doesn't shou me anything, tried also putting gpedit.msc in the execute program window and it didn't give me any result...

Oh G62 master race! I had a 450sa (i3 350m and only integrated GPU) it cooked itself early sometime in 2014, lasted 4 years. Guess you can't render on a laptop  I'd imagine the GPU has cooked itself hence the artifacting, it's time to upgrade/replace anyway those old HPs really start to show their age quick!

win7 home premium

Hmm, try looking in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (sometimes its lying about in there, if not \GPBAK)

If that fails sometimes it likes to hide here. C:\Windows\temp

EDIT: Okay, turns out win7 home premium doesn't have this option. I believe there may be a few 'hacks' or programs you can download to do the job of this program, but as I've never used one I'm not going to tell you how to do it as it is the blind leading the blind.

But I can't think of any other solutions to your problem now. If I think of something I'll comeback, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Sorry.
