Side panel engraving

Can the window on the side of a N450 be laser engraved or is it too easily melted? Or maybe the side panel metal?

Metal can be engraved easily with a dremel or tools but I'm not sure about laser engraving and the window material on the side panel should be fine to laser the engrave since it's just etching the surface of the plastic.
