Windows 10 - How do I get it?

I currently have an illegitimate copy of windows 7 ultimate and want to have a genuine copy of windows 10 when it releases, however I've never actually bought an OS before as I only got into computers a few years ago and have only had a Illegitimate copy on a disc from a friend which I have used.

What steps do I have to take in order to get a genuine copy of windows 10?

Buy a legit copy of Windows 7 or 8.1 now and  upgrade when 10 launches

 

Wait and buy windows 10 when it launches after the 29th

You buy a genuine copy of Win7, 8, or 8.1...

Or wait for Win10 and buy it.

Probably a stupid question but how do I buy it? It's not like I can just buy a disk copy from a local store last time I checked.

Often you CAN actually, failing that you can buy them online from microsoft or retailers.

Go to a shop :P go to amazon, go online to a store that sells pc components

 

You can just buy it from a local store on disc, or you can buy it direct from Microsoft as a download I believe

Will windows 10 be available for purchase straight off their website when it releases? No sense installing a new OS now then installing windows 10 a week later.

Install legitimate Windows 10 Technical Preview version

Wait for 29th of July, recieve Windows update for Windows 10 Insider version.
