What resolution are you running at? If it is 1080p then you don't have to go with such a beefy card. If you are running 1080p, then I recommend the EVGA GTX 960 SuperSC (http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-2966-KR/dp/B00SC6HAS4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1437643828&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+960) as you really don't need 4GB of graphics memory for 1080p. If you are running 1440p, then yes, go with that card.

If you end up going with the 960 are are running 1080p, you should scrap that H97 motherboard and go with a cheaper Z97 motherboard, such as the ASUS Z97 PC Mate (http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Motherboards-Z97-PC-MATE/dp/B00K23BW70). Then you should spend a bit more and get the Core i5 4690k (http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i5-4690K-Processor-BX80646I54690K/dp/B00KPRWB9G/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1437644357&sr=1-1&keywords=4670k). I'd also get a 120GB SSD like the Kingston V300 120GB (http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Digital-SSDNow-SV300S37A-120G/dp/B00A1ZTZOG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1437644441&sr=1-1&keywords=120gb+ssd) instead of a 250GB one as you only need space for Windows and key applications. Last but not least, I'd get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Hyper-212-RR-212E-20PK-R2/dp/B005O65JXI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1437644631&sr=1-1&keywords=cooler+master+hyper+212+evo) as it gives quite a bit of overclocking headroom and is ridiculously good for the price. This is probably closer to $850 than $800, but if you can spend a bit more, go for it!

<Insert joke here>

Everything looks fine, just go for Gtx 970, its kinda futureproof as you are on 1080p,

And Pc mate series is of msi not Asus, and there's no need to change board for any resolution as it has nothing to do with it, choose Z97 only if you want to overclock and then you have to get a k series cpu

Don't go with asrock, they suck for motherboards. My first budget build used an asrock motherboard and i hated it.

You really don't need an ssd that big so i cut it down in half. I also chose a good, inexpensive case.

The power supply is more than you need probably, but it gives room if you ever want to replace that graphics card down the line.

A quality ssd that's considered to be one of the best, a seasonic psu since it's a very good and trustworthy brand(I've heard some bad things about evga psus), and a very powerful 290 that'll drive almost any game you throw at it.
