You can but it will deactivate your grandma's version of Windows, you may need to do activation over the phone but you can move OEM licences from machine to machine.

I've moved Windows 7 from a Toshiba laptop to a repurposed HP server without issue.

You can't use one key to two PCs. Even with upgrade, it's still same key.

OEM is type of license which is intended to be used only with the machine it's installed on.
