So i upgraded from my i7 2600k to a 5930k with the MSI X99S SLI PLUS and i have been getting wierd issues with my mouse cutting out here and there. At first I thought that it was my mouse that was giving up on me but soon to realize after using the mouse in similar environments as my desktop with my laptop and seeing that I wasn't getting the same issues. I tried a different mouse with the pc in the same usb port and there the issues came too. I don't know what to do really. Maybe return the MOBO and get a different one? Maybe just continue using the board with just using a different port for my mouse? Any consequences later by doing so?

hmm. have like a keyboard or something to try in them to see if the situation is predictable on every device.

I would generally say it isn't worth it to rma (downtime sucks) for one USB port, but that's your choice.
