i'm currently struggling to think, before i can even set it up,

i need to use vhd or partition or both to make it so that:

  •    people in the office can do it themselves if we give them enough notes
  • because there are always people who always screw up the OS by installing random crap, we need to make it so that we can recover it easily
    • i need to make it so that when a person screws up the system, i can copy the OS with all the drivers and softwares setted up easily
    • i need to make the files of the person to be recoverable (not too hard)

and it's perplexing me, like alot......

before i can do anything i need to think of a setup that can work

the superior told me that when boot you should be able to choose the real hard disk or the partition, and then he left for vacation......

.......

please help

thankyou

backup the computer and re-image it when someone *Fucks* it up!

see the problem is, the company only bought computer in small quantities, and therefore, most of the computers are different in hardware, and therefore all have different setups, and different drivers, what the superior wants, is to be able to have an backup image in the HDD with everything set go, while using VHD to actively backup the created files

IT'S SUCH A PAIN IN THE AR*E

Have everyone in the office save to a drive on your owncomputer (or a dedicated one if you have a big office) Wipe and reinstall the O/S and programmes everyday that way no matter what anyone does to their system it will only last a day.

Today I just imaged 2 different models of computers with the same image.

Windows will just download the correct drivers.
