Project "The Devourer".

Hello everyone, I am new here, and I just want to share my build with you guys in hope to get your opinions and views about it. So here it goes: 
 
It's maybe an overkill, I don't really know, but I am setting this up as a gaming rig mostly, with some video editing.
 
Specifications are:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-5960X 3.0GHz 8-Core
  • CPU cooler: Swiftech H220-X 55.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
  • Mobo: MSI X99A GAMING 7 ATX LGA2011-3
  • Memory: Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2666
  • SSD: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5"
  • HDD: Western Digital Red Pro 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM (x2 in raid 1)
  • GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+  (2-Way SLI)
  • Case: NZXT H630 (Black) ATX Full Tower
  • PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA P2 1200W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX
  • Operating system: Microsoft Windows 8.1 OEM
  • Fans: Cougar Vortex PWM 70.5 CFM 120mm (x4)
  • Fans: Cougar Vortex PWM 119.8 CFM 140mm (x3)

With the amount of money you are wasting on crap you could custom water cool the whole system.

if I were you I would lose the 5960x  and get a 5820k  save 600

grab an evga 1000 gold save 100

grab 2 enterprise grade Hitachi drives and save 150

Get rid of the Ugly orange fans Gross red and orange with silver

grab Fractal venturi fans instead  

 

and if I was dropping that much on a build I would be getting one of the new 144hz IPS gsync monitors

I'd love to water cool it man, but I know nothing about water cooling, I've tried to search about it, but didn't really benefit, and the tutorials are not really thorough.

And tbh... why would I need a custom water loop? I mean, I already have CPU water cooled, and the case is very open with tons of fans.

I wouldn't recommend cougar fans kinda loud for my taste I wudd recommend like corsair fans or even noctua for case fans for positive pressure
