HI everyone!!

So this is my idea for a new build. This will be used mainly for 3d modeling, video editing, and some color grading. I game some but that's not why I'm spending $3500 on a PC. Is there anything you would change? Thanks all!

Yes i would go with a smaller monitor if i was getting 1440p for better pixel density, also i would drop atleast 16GB of ram as 32 is not needed at ALL :P

Just change the h100i to a h100igtx

And maybe a cheaper mobo unless you need all the features on that one...

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

afaik 3d modeling takes up huge amounts of ram so can video editing so the more then better, It really depends on the type and level of detail you want to put into your models and videos

Well I'm using cuda for 3d, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem, but I was concerned with video editing.

I would change the h100i to a gtx model, mpbo price isn't available so that is over 3500$,i would get 250gb ssd and 3 or 4tb Seagate drice for the price of 1 black drive,

Quadros aren't, just have Ecc gddr ram, but xeons I can see but I'd have to spend more on like a 10-12 core Xeon to equal the power of the 5960x.

The main benefit of quadros and xeons is reliability that they provide, A xeon will out last an I7 when under heavy load for 95% of its running life. That's why they're more expensive.

Also, get Windows 7, its cheaper, (i think) and you'll still be able to upgrade to windows 10 on the 29th, assuming you have the computer beforce then :P

Well I'm not sure I'll be upgrading to 10 for awhile until drivers get updated. Also I probably won't get windows installed for awhile. Like sept.-October.
