RAM upgrades!
well 16gigs certainly is useful and should be almost standard by now, especially on DDR4 (mine are always at at least 5-7GB load in idle - tools etc, no not malware).
but as mentioned above higher clockspeeds are close to no difference. so investing that amount of money just for the clockspeed is totally not worth it.
however if you want more RAM and can get higher clockspeeds as a sideeffect then ofc go for it.

but also crosscheck the max memory-clockspeeds of your CPU since the memorycontroller is located on there since a couple of generations
